Instigator
One phone. Your people. Lots to say.
Questions, dares and group votes on one shared iPhone or iPad. Instigator is an offline game for adults, in Romanian and English. The app is in preparation and is not yet publicly available on the App Store.

Branding
The game at the centre of the group.
Instigator’s identity and native interface keep attention on the current card. Large type and a simple hierarchy help people read the prompt and find the next action.
Blue and pink connect the card identity across the app. Surfaces and text adapt to the appearance preference chosen by the player.

The brief
Same people. Different energy.
Instigator starts conversations among adults who are already together. A card may ask for a truth, a dare, a vote or a duel. Every card explains who participates and how points are awarded.
Friends offers lighter questions and dares. Couples, Singles and Mixed add adult themes and rules that consider declared relationships. Participation remains optional.

How it works
Get your people together. Start with a card.
One person reads. Everyone reacts. You do not need a phone each.
Choose who is playing.
Pick a category, add names and set pairs where needed. With Plus, choose the ending score and number of passes.
Read the prompt.
Truth, dare, vote or duel: the card explains who takes part and how points are awarded. Choose personal boundaries together.
Resolve the card.
Participation is voluntary. Declining personal questions and dares awards the points printed on the card. One player using an available pass ends the whole card with zero points for everyone.
Keep points low.
Points are bad. The game ends when someone reaches or exceeds the chosen limit after resolving a card.
In detail
Four categories. Boundaries you choose together.
Friends
The free category for 3–5 players: questions, dares and group votes.
Couples
For 4, 6, 8 or 10 paired players. Includes adult themes.
Singles
For 3–10 players in a group where everyone is single. Includes adult themes.
Mixed
Couples and single friends at the same table. The game takes declared relationships into account.
The challenge
A clear rule before every dare.
A round may call for a personal answer, a vote or a dare. The interface needs to explain who takes part and how points are awarded, while leaving personal boundaries to the people involved.
The whole game stays on one device. Handing it over, private steps and resolving the card need to form a sequence the group can follow.
We built Instigator around conversation in the same room. The phone provides the prompt, identifies participants and keeps score; the group chooses the pace and personal boundaries.
One shared device
Everyone uses the same iPhone or iPad. Gameplay works offline, without accounts.
Voluntary participation
Anyone can decline a question or dare. One available pass ends the whole card with zero points for everyone.
Session data only
Names, declared relationships, answers and scores stay in app memory. There is no saved game history.
The build
Native, local and without accounts.
The iPhone and iPad app runs offline on one shared device. Session data stays in memory; language and appearance preferences are stored locally between launches.
Instigator + uses StoreKit and Apple services for purchasing and restoring access. Their internet requirement is separate from offline gameplay.
The result
Less explaining. More to talk about.
Instigator brings category selection, group setup, cards, scoring and results together on the same device. The interface and game content support Romanian and English.
This case study presents the product being prepared for release. Public availability and subscription terms will appear in the App Store at launch.

A few useful answers.
Do we need internet?
Not to play. Instigator runs offline on one shared iPhone or iPad, without an account. Buying or restoring a subscription through Apple requires internet.
Can we decline a dare?
Yes. Participation is optional. Declining personal questions and dares awards the points printed on the card. One available pass ends the entire card with zero points for everyone.
Are points instructions to drink alcohol?
No. Points track only the game outcome and are never instructions to drink alcohol.
