Instigator

Privacy Policy

The game, website and support correspondence have different boundaries. This page explains what stays on your device, what Apple manages and what we receive when you contact us.

1. Who is responsible

DOROBANTI NETWORK S.R.L. is the controller of data received for the website, support and commercial administration. The company’s identification and contact details appear on this page.

For questions or rights requests, use the shared support and privacy address: support@dorobantimedia.com.

2. Game data stays on your device

Instigator is played on one shared device, without an account or gameplay connections to servers or other devices. Chosen names, declared pairs and relationships, scores, answers and private choices stay only in application memory. We create no persistent game history and receive none of this data on a developer server.

Once the process closes, the game is not restored at the next launch. The app separately saves language (System / Romanian / English) and appearance (System / Light / Dark) preferences. These remain on the device between launches until you change them or the app’s data is removed. Apple separately manages purchase records.

Use a nickname and avoid sensitive information about yourself or others. Information entered and answers discussed may become known to people in the group. The game is intended for people aged 18 or older; the app does not request birth dates or verify age.

3. Protections and practical limits

The app includes no usage analytics, ads, tracking, gameplay logging or developer remote diagnostic service. Apple separately manages the operating system and its diagnostic options.

Private answers are concealed when the app becomes inactive and do not automatically reappear on return. iOS manages the app-switcher preview; the app cannot prevent a deliberate screenshot or external camera. Removing a state from memory does not guarantee immediate physical overwriting.

Do not photograph, record or share other people’s answers or interactions without their separate permission. We cannot delete copies kept by participants.

4. Instigator + and Apple services

Instigator + purchases and restoration use StoreKit, Apple’s native service. The app receives product and price information, transaction and product identifiers, validity or revocation dates and verified subscription evidence. It uses this in memory to determine access, without a developer purchase database. Apple keeps its own records. We do not receive full card details.

Apple may make receipts and sales, subscription or refund reports available to developers, including a publisher-specific Subscriber ID and country or region. This capability does not establish that the company has exported or retained such reports. Actual reporting use and justified periods for commercial records require separate verification.

The developer does not download or retain copies of TestFlight feedback or crash reports and does not begin collecting or analysing public-user metrics from App Analytics or diagnostic feeds. This does not change Apple’s own processing or retention.

5. Website, cookies and browser storage

Vercel Inc. hosts the website. For delivery, security and performance diagnostics, it may process IP addresses, access times, requested pages and parameters, technical headers, response codes and error or security-incident information. These website requests are separate from gameplay kept in application memory and from support correspondence.

External links open only when you follow them. Destination websites and your email application use their own services and policies.

These pages are now hosted on the Dorobanți Media website. The information below about the app and support remains specific to this game.

The Dorobanți Media privacy policy and cookie policy apply to browsing this website. They explain website preferences and optional measurement enabled according to consent.

6. When you contact us

To respond, we use your email address, messages, attachments and delivery metadata or, for calls, the number, time and information provided. Missing necessary information may prevent us from resolving your request. Information is used only to handle your request, without marketing, tracking or profiling.

The developer personally handles requests and is the only person with access to the mailbox and receiving devices. Apple iCloud Mail is the confirmed email provider. Support mail is not forwarded. Mail and downloaded support files are excluded from local or device backups. Calls are not recorded; necessary notes may be kept to resolve a request.

Send only useful information: device model, app version and steps to reproduce an issue. Do not send passwords, card details, intimate answers or screenshots containing other players’ data. Creation of the support address is confirmed; receiving, sending and spam-filter behaviour have not yet been tested.

7. Purposes and lawful bases

For Instigator + access administration and support necessary for the service, we rely on performing a contract or steps you request before it, under GDPR Article 6(1)(b). Website operation and security, general correspondence and defending rights rely on the corresponding legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f). Rights requests and mandatory records rely on legal obligations, Article 6(1)(c).

We use only data necessary for the applicable purpose. Agreeing to play is not consent to the company processing sensitive data. We use no profiling or solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

8. Recipients and transfers

Vercel hosts the website. Apple handles the App Store and purchases and provides iCloud Mail; correspondence also involves the sender’s mail provider. We disclose to authorities or professional advisers only data necessary for a legal obligation or defending a right.

Vercel’s published DPA for Pro and Enterprise customers covers processor handling and includes international-transfer clauses. It describes primary US infrastructure and global subprocessors. Apple separately describes international processing and Standard Contractual Clauses for EEA transfers.

These published frameworks do not confirm the company’s exact account arrangements or mean EU-only storage. Contractual roles, locations, recipients and safeguards for the specific services remain to be verified. You may request available information and safeguards through the contact address.

9. How long data is kept

Game data has no saved history and leaves the app’s state when the process closes. The language preference and Apple-managed records have the separate arrangements described above.

The hosting team uses Vercel Pro with Observability Plus. Vercel documents 30 days for observability data and runtime logs. No automated log-export drains were configured at the team check on 12 October 2026. This period does not set the lifetime of build logs, security or account records, exports or provider recovery copies.

Routine support messages, attachments and necessary notes are deleted 90 days after resolution, including emptying Trash and deleting downloaded attachments and exports. The period starts at resolution, not the last message. Records needed for legal obligations or disputes have separately justified periods; we do not automatically apply a blanket three-year period to rights requests.

Mailbox deletion does not establish deletion of all provider-controlled copies. Apple describes a default 30 days in Trash and manual emptying; this is not a universal backup or recovery-copy deadline. No deletion deadline for all such copies has been verified, and justified periods for legal exceptions and some rights-request records remain to be established.

10. Your rights

Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it; the purposes above do not rely on consent.

Write to support@dorobantimedia.com. Requests are normally free. We respond without undue delay, within one month; for complex or numerous requests we may extend by two months, explaining why in the first month. We verify identity only when necessary.

We can handle data we control or can access; we have no server from which to retrieve a local game. You may complain to ANSPDCP, following the authority’s procedure, and seek a judicial remedy.
